Here is a photo essay of my week in Reykjavik in June 2022. Please listen to the audio below for my reflections on the experience.
I presented a paper of my research into Ella Mary Leather (1874 -1928) a Herefordshire folklore collector and the results of my pilot project working with forty-two community (mainly amateur) stitchers over 12 weeks, responding to the heritage of the ecologically threatened River Lugg.
I am very grateful for funding assistance from Manchester Met’s Graduate Research Support Award and PAHC’s PGR Research Fund. This helped to pay for conference fees and travel and accommodation costs.
